Hobby Master Future F-5 release

What would you like to see Hobby Master do in the F-5 line ? MY choice would be the F-5 E.

Some good reference stuff for the F-5 here.

Re: Hobbymaster Future F-5 release

I would like to see them do one with markings of the Mig-28 form Top Gun. I thought that the paint scheme was made up for the movie until last year at Oshkosh when there were two of them on the ramp.

Re: Hobbymaster Future F-5 release

I would be happy with a silver USAF or blue aggresors paint scheme. Skoshi Tiger would be cool too

Re: Hobbymaster Future F-5 release

My fave F-5 is the F-5G by far. And if they do that, they can use some of the parts for an X-29...

Whatever they make, I hope they pick one and stick with it (or do all the variants accurately), and don't try to pass off an F-5E as an F-5A by just changing the LERX.

The F-5E alone would take a lot of variations if they want to do every nation that uses them, or even just the major user. The two big thing are regular or shark nose and with or without the fin extension.

Re: Hobbymaster Future F-5 release

Chuck Yeager's

Northrop Aircraft hired the retired general as a consultant in 1980, and he soon found himself in the cockpit of an F-5 Freedom Fighter. Yeager had always been enthusiastic about the F-5, a lightweight fighter derivative of the T-38 supersonic trainer. “The nicest little airplane to fly, in my opinion, is the F-5 with the leading edge flaps; twin engine, simple and fun … just a simple, basic little old airplane that flies so sweet.”

Re: Hobbymaster Future F-5 release

I love the schemes for the RED FLAG Aggressors and TOP GUN Adversaries, and I bet we'll probably see the pre-pros come out this way first, but I would definitely like to see a bare-metal F-5E Tiger II and hopefully an F-20 Tiger Shark in all-RED with white racing stripes livery!!!

Re: Hobbymaster Future F-5 release

I would love to see some F-5's come out. For me, I'd like to see some of the Vietnam era liveries.

Hobby Master announced they would be making the F-5E and like you say there are lots of variations in nations. The caution comment is appreciated and I'll make sure it is passed on to Hobby Master now so it won't be too late. Thanks.
