Re: HM, How about a Banshee in 1/72 Scale?

The Banshee could definitely use some attention. I did a little snooping on the web and there were only one or two kits to be found of this aircraft. It got me to snooping through my stash of kits to see what might turn up. Found that I do have a F2H-3/4 Banshee kit, an old vacuform kit from November of 1958. It might be nice if HM put out a kit to cover this fairly neglected plane.

What's the model kit number? It looks like it has been around for awhile.

The 1/72nd McDonnell F2H-3/4 Banshee by Academy Model is "1626"...that's all I've been able to find on this particular kit. Also, the Testors Model Co. produced a 1/48 scale
Banshee - modelkit # DM-TES7522. I think both kits have been around for awhile.

This is great, the more information I can fire at them the better. Thanks

Ginter Books Naval Fighters No. 73 Early Banshees the McDonnell F2H-1,F2h-2/2B/2N/2P came out last year- it's a great reference for the early (Korean War) Banshee variants.
