The Canadian version was a F-2H3.

Here are some pics of a U.S. Navy F-2H2 and a F-2H4.

I like 'em, but I wonder where they got that scheme for the VA-76 bird? Every reference I've seen shows the squadron trim color as being medium blue.

Found some pics on the web of a 1/72 Scale HMCS Bonaventure (The RCN Aircraft Carrier that the Banshee operated from).

On board are 1/72 Scale model Banshees, Trackers, Sea Kings, and even a visiting USN Skyhawk.

Re: HM, How about a Banshee in 1/72 Scale?

I fully support the Banshee, it's in the top ten of my wish list. I'd like to see it in 1/72nd. Now, the question is- what would be more popular with collectors? The F2H-2, which was used extensively in Korea; or the later F2H-3/4 used by the USN and Canada?
We can take a wild guess as to how ACpilot and smartd are going to vote!;-) Now, how about everybody else?

New Korean War aircraft would definitely top my list, but I wouldn't turn the others down.

Following up AC Pilot's post, that is the HMCS Bonaventure model from the Shearwater Aviation Museum.
Really good museum showing highlighting Canada's flying Navy.

Dug up some pics of the model and the real live Banshee on display at Shearwater.

Absolutely, the Banshee is essential if we are to compliment the RCN Avenger that I am sure is coming soon, I hope, I wish maybe!

Thumbs up Re: HM, How about a Banshee in 1/72 Scale?

Excellent suggestion !
But perhaps HM would make it in 1/48 scale, to go with their annonced F9F...?

That would be super cool. My dad worked on these at McDonnell Aircraft back in the 50's. I'd also like the other two planes he worked on, the F-3 Demon (my dads favorite looking jet) and the F-101 Voodoo. Check out the Demon below.
