Would like to see HobbyMaster to make a P-38 Lightning

Since Corgi is the only one to date to make one...Beside IXO.
I Know i'm happy with my Corgi P-38 ...But seems like a few aren't.
So i want to see what others may think...Vote on mates.

Re: Would like to see HobbyMaster to make a P-38 Lightn

Given that Corgi P-38 mold is decent enough, I would rather prefer HM to focus on something that hasn't been done before instead of going up against established maker with a strong product.

Regards,

Sergey

Re: Would like to see HobbyMaster to make a P-38 Lightn

I'm with Sergey. I know that hobbymaster would do a nice job, but I prefer something the others haven't made yet, like a good buffalo, hawk 75 (P-36), helldiver or devastator in 1/72nd (next to the molds they have already planned like the P-61).

That's okay.....

I say to Hobby Master "concentrate your efforts where no one else already is".

I would like to see them do an early model, like Glacier Girl.

Re: Would like to see HobbyMaster to make a P-38 Lightn

Yes. Corgi makes an okay P-38. Dragon might and the fact that I've been collecting for over three years and don't have a single Witty model out of my 100+ models tells you what I think of them. All I see are the "J" version P-38s with the chin engine scoops. I'd love to see HobbyMaster make the earlier "F" version with the sleek, sloped back nacelles.

Besides, most of you don't want HobbyMaster to put their effort into a plane someone else has done. What about ALL those Spitfires and Bf109s that every manufacture feels must be made forty times over?

Doing what you want is freedom; doing what you like is happiness.

Re: Would like to see HobbyMaster to make a P-38 Lightn

I think they'd be better off spending the development money on something no one else it making. The way it looks they're might be a choice of 4 different brands of P-38's I don't think that's good for the collector and I'm sure it would affect sales
