Re: HM 1/72 Devastator and Helldiver PLEASE!!!

I’m really hoping they make some Helldivers. I’m in the market for a dark blue and a three-tone to go with my Avengers.

HM...PLEEEEEASE....

Not that I don't want one, but the HM begging threads may become diluted and ineffective if we ask for everything under the sun.

Re: HM 1/72 Devastator and Helldiver PLEASE!!!

True but they gotta know what we want. The problem is that we all want something different. We should develop a poll (that includes at least all of the planes we have been asking for) as part of each of the "Manufacturers" headings on this forum. The poll might be too long if it included ALL of the military planes so maybe it should just include the ones that are not produced yet. The categories could be: WW1, WW2, Cold War, and Modern. The poll could be an important and permanent fixture on this web site. This way new members would always get a chance to vote and manufacturers could get a sense of what we want at a glance. Wuduyuthink?

Re: HM 1/72 Devastator and Helldiver PLEASE!!!

If people are ready for another poll, then so am I. I like your ideas for breaking down the entries by era; however, I have a different suggestion. How about breaking it into three separate polls as follows- the first poll could be a vote for aircraft that no one has done yet- like an F2H Banshee, Mig-19 and J-35. The second poll could comprise modified/not yet produced versions of existing models; for example one of the other companies makes a line of good Meteor F.8's- but there are no Meteor F.4's to go along with them. The last poll could be for suggestions about new paint jobs for existing models- like the individual squadron markings for the 479th TFW F-104C's that I am REALLY HOPING TO SEE!:-) These polls could include the aircraft from all eras. If, at some point, these polls get too cluttered or wide ranging, we could then further break them down by era.
From the companies' standpoint, if they see results broken down by category like that, they might be more receptive to granting our wishes.

Thumbs up Re: HM 1/72 Devastator and Helldiver PLEASE!!!

I believe that the French used Helldivers in Nam.

Absolutely ! And btw, the French Navy had been the second largest operator of the type (about 100 SB2C5).

I think the Helldiver is already included in HM remote projects...

I need 2 : a USN SB2C3 and a FN SB2C5.

Very good guys, the less time that is required for research and guessing exactly what people want the more likely it will be considered. You have no idea how many suggestions and requests Hobby Master and myself get in the run of a day. 99.9% of the time it is just the plane or vehicle type and that is where it ends. There just are too many like this and all they do is get added to a long list of requests as "Another One". This shows the popularity of a model but doesn't specify anything about it and if we think about the number of possibilities well it is just staggering. So every little bit of information moves the request up another rung of the "we might consider it ladder".
