FJ-3 / 4 request thread

I figure I'll start this and see what kind of interest can be worked up for these Navy / Marine birds. And hopefully we'll see some made. Number 201 was the first to trap on the Forrestal, or so the site said.

Thumbs up Re: FJ-3 / 4 request thread

Those are beautiful and the best thing is HM or CW could also make a F-86.

Re: FJ-3 / 4 request thread

I'd buy the Furies. But, would one mold be able to be adapted to make both versions? Lots of differences between the -3's and -4's.

Do them both I say, but yea it would require two molds.

Re: FJ-3 / 4 request thread

Count me in for a few.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

A good F-86 is also needed. The Corgi version isn't an honest representation (in other words, it's a dog), so maybe the early F-86-based Fury and the AF F-86 could be worked into the same mold.

(To see why the Corgi is a dog, compare the nose and canopy on the model with the drawings in the first post in this thread.)

Re: FJ-3 / 4 request thread

I'd like to see a VX-5 FJ-4B and a VF-121 FJ-3M. Check out FJ Fury in Detail & Scale by Bert Kinzey, it's got a load of pretty cool pics.
