Re: FJ-3 / 4 request thread

A good F-86 is also needed. The Corgi version isn't an honest representation (in other words, it's a dog), so maybe the early F-86-based Fury and the AF F-86 could be worked into the same mold.

(To see why the Corgi is a dog, compare the nose and canopy on the model with the drawings in the first post in this thread.)

Is that true thought? I thought that the Fury, even the one that resembles the Sabre, had a larger intake than the Sabres due to a larger engine. Is this not true?

Re: FJ-3 / 4 request thread

I know which one I want. Since Pensacola isn't too far away from my neck of the woods, I've seen this one a few times:

Thumbs up Re: FJ-3 / 4 request thread

I'm still hoping with low expectations that someone will produce the Sabre Dog.

I scanned this image from the box cover of my 1:48th scale kit by Monogram #85-5960

I have been suggesting the F86K/D for sooooo long...!!!

Moreover I think it should be possible to make the F86H too, by only changing the nose...

As for the Fury, I vote for the FJ-4.

Yes. I believe it is deeper. Hopefully, the mold designers could work around this a la P-40E/F...

Re: FJ-3 / 4 request thread

I would think that an H model could be made without too much trouble from the Fury molds...Plus, as far as Sabre variants go, I'd rather see a Sabre Hog than a Sabre Dog...

Re: FJ-3 / 4 request thread

On second thought, after doing some more research, I could go for a Dog Sabre...

Re: FJ-3 / 4 request thread

Let's see... if HM does a Panther/Cougar in 1:48 scale, we need them to do a 1:48 scale Fury to go along with it.

(Now before you 1:72 afficianados start throwing rotten things at me... think of the granduer of this lovely aircraft in 1:48.)

Sure if that is all we could get fine. But to have many smaller ones trumps the one big one.

Well, if they issue one in 1/48th, and it's a hit, that's all the more reason to do it in 1/72nd...

I doubt it, it will be one or the other not both. Atleast not for some time.
