Not to be a jerk or anything (okay maybe a little bit), but hawkone, remember when your ID used to be "fovcollector" on MH1? You certainly picked a better horse to bet on now. Your pics are great, and the product is certainly worthy of your skills and attention. Thank you for all of your hard work.

Re: Any three tone Hellcats in the future

I love the subtle weathering. I like weathering if it is done right. Most times less is more. Is that his real aircraft that still flies, or wone in his markings?

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Those photo's I put out in my previous post are showing the real-deal.

The central-section is Vraciu's actual F.6-F.

Other components had to be added to make it complete.

When they found it's Bu No history, it put Vraciu back in the limelight.

When Vraciu was invited over to Duxford, Cambridgeshire, to see his a/c fly,

he actually handed over his wartime gloves that he used to fly '19' with,

on missions, to the current owner Stephen Grey, in a kind & friendly gesture.

They fitted (like a glove !!!), so Grey wore them whilst displaying the F.6-F

at the Week-end long display, known annually as 'Flying Legends'.

Hawkone - Another beautiful entry by HobbyMaster!

I've got the Matchbox Vraciu Hellcat. The number on it is "32", and it seems to have more kill markings than HobbyMaster's version.

So does anyone know the story on the Matchbox version? Is this another of Vraciu's planes from later in the war?

That was another one of his aircraft. They are correct markings. I had wondered about that myself. That is awsome that his real aircraft still survives.
