Re: Any three tone Hellcats in the future

I thought pictures I saw of Vraciu's Hellcat indicated it was three tone. No?

Re: Any three tone Hellcats in the future

I have a signed pic of him on the wing of his Hellcat, and it is indeed tri-colored.

So Hawk... is the Vraciu Hellcat still on Hobby Master's upcoming release list?

Re: Any three tone Hellcats in the future

Just checked on hawkone's excellent website and he has posted pictures of the Vraciu Hellcat. If like me you've been waiting for a three tone Hellcat - well, your patience is about to pay off. This model looks absolutely beautiful!!!! All blue Hellcats are nice, but here we get the best of both worlds. The plane of a well known ace for you "ace" based collectors, and a colorful 3-tone plane for us "visually attraction" based collectors. Finally, I'll be able to make my first HobbyMaster purchase of the year - feels good!

Should sell by the bucket-load at the Imperial War Museum, at Duxford in Cambridgeshire, as that's where Alex Vraciu's Hellcat '19' still resides, in airworthy condition.

How do you like the engine exhaust stain just to finish this really great 3 toner? Not bad for only being in business about 8 months, they're still in the learning stages and seem to be learning quickly.

Re: Any three tone Hellcats in the future

I just picked up my HM Hellcat Minsi III and I am really impressed with it. I like the pre-pro photos referenced here for the tri colour version too and think they will look very good beside each other. I compared the HM version up against the Dragon version as my vendor had a person dragon one in his collection. They are both very good models, but the Dragon one had Minsi II on one side and Minsi III on the other... wierd!

May the farts be with you, and not me.

Re: Any three tone Hellcats in the future

Now dont those 3 toned birds look better than the others? My only concern is the tail construction, but I could probably live with it. Now just one more version with a feathered blend between the two blues and red outlined insignia. That would be the hot redheaded sister to this bird.
