Re: Hobby Master's 1/48th Scale Brewster Buffalo

I can afford only 1/72, so too bad they are 1/48. However, they are very nice looking, and it is great that HM is willing to stretch itself and present some really exciting models. As a consolation, they are also offering some great new 1/72, so not all is lost!

Re: Hobby Master's 1/48th Scale Brewster Buffalo

If it was 1/72 I'd buy the US Navy one.

Now I'll be tempted to get a Franklin pre-war Dauntless and that Carousel1/48 pre-war Wildcat. If there was a pre-war Devastator I'd probably break down and do it.

I will be getting the Navy versoin, and maybe this one as well. Very good looking model.

Hey Aeroang... why would you want FM to make this? I have no doubt whatsoever that HM's attempt will be light years ahead of FM.

I think that they did a really good job making the metal finish look real.

I'm not absolutely sure yet, I've never had a model in my hands yet but I think if you go to this picture and click on it to enlarge it you will see the two joints next to the wheels that allow the gear to fold when you push the wheel towards the prop. http://www.hobbymastercollector.com/files/HA7001-4.JPG When I do receive this plane I'll post pictures of how it works on my site.
