Re: SBD Helldiver in the future ??

A definite yes on the SB2C Helldiver - I'll buy at least two. 3 tone and all blue. I love the squadron that had the horseshoe carrier marking on the tail.

A P-61 would also be great! I'd buy a black one and an O.D. one.

Re: SBD Helldiver in the future ??

I would buy three, Three toned, all dark ble, and an A-25 form the USAAF that would be in O.D. over gray.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: SBD Helldiver in the future ??

Any chace HM will make the Helldiver to round out the big three in Naval Aviation? After watching the History Channel's Dogfight show about Taffy 3, I got to thinking one of those would be nice as well.

Yes, I would like that one too! That was a great program the other night!

I'll buy at least one of any carrier based aircraft.

Re: SBD Helldiver in the future ??

It's all settled then - the P-61, followed by the Helldiver!

Now lets start picking out our paint schemes!

Re: SBD Helldiver in the future ??

I second Raven's motion. There is another thread with P-61's color schemes. (like there really alot). Were there many color schemes for the Helldiver and how about an A-26 Invader?

Thumbs up Re: SBD Helldiver in the future ??

A Franklin Mint 1:48 scale Helldiver would be awsome (also a 1:48 Black Widow).

Re: SBD Helldiver in the future ??

Oh, yes, definitely! Especially with the Avenger coming out, we NEED a Helldiver to compliment it. It’s my current number one most wanted plane in 1/72. (Not that I don’t also want an Invader and a Black Widow…There’s certainly a place in my collection for all of them!)
