Re: Soviet MiG-21

Looking forward to the MiG-21, almost as much as the MiG-15, which HM will produce in...uh...in, well, maybe '07? I think the '21 in German markings will be a big seller, though, of course, the version in Soviet markings is a must!

Re: Soviet MiG-21

I won't buy more than one or two Mig 21 so I'm waiting for the Soviet version. Thought they'd do a Soviet one first.

A rather astute decision on their part I believe. HM needs to release multiple versions of each mold (we all know the drill) so they release a rather obscure but interesting livery (I chuckle at the Fishy Fishbed) for the first of the first Mig-21s, follow it up with a more mainstream and attractive German Mig and then bring out the "favorite." As long as they keep delivering great products and combine it with sound business sense we'll be enjoying HM for a long time to come.

A definite YES! to that. I don't mind saying that their marketing has hooked me, because I never planned to buy the MiG-21 (and I might add, Corgi hooked me in the same way with their excellent Gladiators). Now, with a little greedy gleam in my usually rheumy eyes, how about a MiG-15, and a MiG-19 (two engines, you know), and a MiG-3, and...well you know the drill.

Re: Soviet MiG-21

I also plan on getting a Soviet Mig-21 although a North Vietnamese one would go nicely with some U.S Vietnam era jets. As far as German markings I will definitely get the West German F-104 when it comes out. It is the essence of Cold War fighters of U.S. allies. Those black knights crosses look so sweet on those rocket fin type wings.........

That may be true, but I wonder if it really increases sales that much for them. As far as my purchases it doesn't. I'm not buying the first or the second one. I'll wait until I see the Soviet one. I'm sure there are others like me. But, I'm sure there are some guys that can't wait and will buy the first or second or both.

As always I'm planenuts.....waiting for my Soviet Mig 21

Remember, there are a several jokers on here who have 300+ models so HM knows who their marks are at least . I too want a Soviet Mig 21 (and a North Vietnamese one as well). In fact, I would love a Chinese one as I have a friend who worked on them before he immigrated to the US. Uh oh, I just did the math on that little series .

Choices, choices, choices. I love 'em!
