| How can Hobby Master put out such a neat model, even include a spare nose probe, and then make it difficult, if not impossible, to add the weapons if you want to fly the bird? Talk about the right hand not knowing what the left is doing. Mine flies weaponless. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Really George I was impressed with the landing gear on this model. However, they need to take cue from Century Models on landing gear assemblies. Having the entire landing gear and bay as on unit was brilliant. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Really George I actually like the way the HM main gears stuck inside the fuse and no glitches, no wobbling, unlike Dragons and sometimes Corgis. I did like the semi-open gear-doors a detail that confused me at first but then proved to be neat. Honestly, I had no problem assembling my F-104...although I do not display it on the stand so that may explain why I don't complain about flying w/o weapons. I do complain about my missiles being slightly "warped" look at them and they show this beautiful curve that just doesn't go with missiles. I got the Soviet MiG-21 and didn't take the time to assemble the famously hard to assemble landing gears...will leave it for later. pics "out of the box" in separate post. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Really George I didn't have any problems with the weapons fit. the nose wheel doors drove me crazy trying to fit them, so I finally resorted to a small dab of Elmers. Looks great. Re the Mig 21, I was very impressed; I'd like to see a Sukoi 22 to go with it. I visited two museums in Moscow a few years ago and they had every version on display. It is infamous for shooting down the Korean B747 and saw lots of action in Afghanistan when the Russians tried to occupy the country. | |||||||||||||
