Re: Hobby Master has just told me!!!!!

Hobby Master will be able to produce schemes forever...! Here are a few examples of Harvards flying in New Zealand that I reckon would make pretty interesting subjects in diecast .

Re: Hobby Master has just told me!!!!!

I really hate to admit it because it seems like I'm the only one that has this feeling but I just can't get excited about getting a Texan. I think it's a great piece to make from the standpoint of being able to sell it but I guess it's just not for me

Re: Hobby Master has just told me!!!!!

I'm kinda with you there Tyler, but perhaps starting a section in your collection of historic trainer aircraft is not a bad idea. All those hotshot ace pilots had to learn somewhere. The Goshawk Corgi is doing, this AT-6, and the HM F-20 (F-5) Or T-38 Talon if I am not mistaken was also used as a trainer.

Re: Hobby Master has just told me!!!!!

The T-6 is an important aircraft. It served with many nations, in all of the U.S. branches, and flew in many roles. They even used T-6's as fighters in some countries. The U.S. used them as FAC aircraft well into Vietnam. The Stearman would be great to see. I would love to see a USAAF version as well as a Navy Yellow Peril.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Nice pics Spinnaker. Those taken at Wanaka? I have friends who moved to NZ recently and I encouraged them to take the kids to see the aircraft.

The family are by no means interested in aircraft but they were raving about their visit to an airshow to the extent that they even called me in SA to tell me.

I'm looking forward to one day visiting NZ again but this time specifically to visit Wanaka.
