Re: Pics of the New Starfighter

Meaning
Very happy and content.

The phrase originated in the US and possibly before 1834. In 1848 the Southern Literary Messenger - Richmond, Virginia expressed the opinion that the phrase "is familiar to everyone".

There you have it. Thanks for the explication.

I simply can't wait for it..I like my matchbox F-104 (NASA version) but I've been wanting to replace it with one that has an undercarriage...

The F-104 was shipping from Hng Kong next week and should be at the retailers the first or second week of October.

I see that nothing has changed, my signature still won't automatically attach to posts, I have to do it manually.

Re: Pics of the New Starfighter

What a beauty. A must have I think. Now, where is the Bavarian one Hawkone? Harry, didn't you or Bob do a custom Armour version of this same plane? Those pics should be placed here too. They were outstanding I think.
How does the HM compare? Seems alot of decals were added to the Armour and I forget what else...

Re: Pics of the New Starfighter

According to a book I have it is in the markings of the very first F-104C to be delivered to Tactical Air Command on October 16, 1958. It was flown in by Lou Schalk (famous for undertaking the first flight in the A-12). And it was later flown by Wing Commander Col. George Laven Jr. The aircraft is in the flamboyant colors of the 479th TFW. 'Really George' is in reference to the 479th's home at George Air Force Base Califorina.

Just thought you'd like to know....if you didn't already

This one is a must have. But I'm starting to say that about a lot of them

Join the club Starman! I have 5 outstanding pre-orders.

When I placed them, the Rand was between 6 & 6.5 to the dollar. Now its 7.4 and climbing! I'm sunk!
