HM winter stuka

Did anyone get the new HM winter stuka?
How is it?
Does it have a wobbly stand?

Re: HM winter stuka

I just received mine today. It's absolutely beeeautiful! One of the best model I have, just like my other two HobbyMaster models.

The stand seems to be the same one as on my Rudel Stuka and on my Yorktown Dauntless. I guess this model hasn't received the updated version of the stand. It's a bit wobbly, but still definitely better than the Gemini stand for their P-51Bs.

Two things I noticed :

1.) I received two antenna in the box, and the two antenna are identical to each other. From the pictures I've seen of this model, the only antenna is the one mounted on top of the canopy. So is the 2nd antenna just an extra in case you break the other? The 2nd antenna is definitely supposed to be in the box, since there is an indentation in the box to hold it. So is it an extra?

2.) Just like my HM Rudel stuka, I got the little two part swastika decals to put on the tail. But again, they look backwards compared to the proper swastika direction in all the history books I have. So are they wrong/backwards or is there some funky way to put them on in the correct direction?

Re: HM winter stuka

Mine should be here tomorrow

I don't mind the wobbly stand. Actually mine don't wobble much.....not even when our dog passes gas, which can be a pretty exciting event.

Hobby Master has been including two antennae and two pitot tubes on their jets. It is done because these parts are so small and delicate that there is a good chance they will get broken when handling the model. Just another nice little touch from Hobby Master.

I noticed that on my Really George....nice....thanks Hobby Master

Got my winter Stuka today too. It's getting boring, but it's great! If you like Stukas......GET ONE!

It's going to get boring everytime I get a Hobby Master plane to keep saying "It's great".

Yeah, a GOOD pilot.....and optional too. Not the GeminiAces short fat alien dwarf that's glued in with Forever Glue
