HM Model P-51/Mustang/Apache Suggestions

Here is my list. I am tired of the 357th FG. Enough! How about something else?

There must be someone out there to hear me, for there are enough pictures of planes in my books that I have never seen as models, not even in 1:48.

2nd ACG, 1st FS (! On tail)
8th PRG
20th FG ANY piano markings (what a beautiful plane!)
21st FG South Field, Iwo Jima
27th FG/F-BG A-36 North Africa
35th FG
51st FG China Tex Hill “Gladys (26th FS)
52nd FG
67, 68, 69 TRG
86th F-B Group (12th AF) A-36 North Africa
311th
339th Cambridge/Fowlmere. How about Tar Heel?
353rd FG Dove of Peace? Double Trouble Two?
364th FG
370th FDG
506th FG North Field, Iwo Jima
C-A CW 3rd FG 5th FG 11th FG
1st Scouting Group

I have pre-ordered (December 2007!!!! the RAF 225 Sqn.--a beauty)

And then?

SAAF
RNZAF
RCAF

Enough? It will keep me busy for years.

California Dreaming

Am I just dreamin', Starman--or am I out of my mind?

I have been collecting for two years. Just think what I would have if I had a plan? I was all over the place. Now I have settled, for the most part. Not as a specialist or as a "truist" to colors, pilots, or rudder shapes. But groups and squadrons. The hardest part has been keeping to one, for there are many different markings in a squadron or within a fighter group. Sometimes, I have fallen off the wagon--and I have more 357th than any other group.

I have ordered the Ding Hao, and have the Bald Eagle. Yes, the new models are going to be neat, in the B/C series, in 1:72.

Thanks. I appreciate the comment. I just hope I have them right. Any help is appreciated.

PS, Starman

I rank my Twilight Tear right up there. But the Blue-nose Bastards of Bodney are superb! I have Cripes and Petie.... I even voted to have Preddy Airport.

You know i just thought of this.
It would be really nice for Hobby Master to make a few of the Blue nose Bastards of Bodney 352nd.
There are so many planes they can do with this 352nd group.

Re: HM Request for model suggestions

I would like to see some native Soviet, Italian, and Japanese designs (besides Zero). At this point, I don't care what they are as long as they are of HM quality standards.

Regards,

Sergey

Re: HM Request for model suggestions

An Oscar would be cool. There are a ton of cool schemes for the japanese stuff as well.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re:HM Model P-51/Mustang 20th FG Suggestions

I am tired of the 357th FG. Enough! How about something else?

20th FG ANY piano markings (what a beautiful plane!)

Hallelujah - some-one else on the forum who agrees that the subject matter has been "hacked to death", by repetition !!!!!!!!!!

Another P.51 D, "Old-Crow" anyone ??????????????? (NOT).

That 20th F.G. suggestion is great.

Among the best, was a P.51.D
with the famous 'Group' Piano-Key type nose-markings called 'June Nite'

40 years later (1980's); and a 20th T.F.W. (Tactical Fighter Wing)

General-Dynamics F.111-E, based at Upper Heyford, in Oxfordshire,

England, is flying around in her Vietnam-style U.S.A.F. camouflage, wearing EXACTLY the same name - 'June Nite' - painted (on the nose) in EXACTLY the same way/style & colour - IN HONOUR OF HER W.W.II predcessor !!!!

How cool is that ?????????!!!!!!!! Bring it on .
