Mirage & Witty F-16 stands...

Just in case anyone is curious... the new HM Mirage sits very nicely in the Witty F-16 stands If I could find my wheels-up parts at the moment, I'd snap a pic...

Re: Mirage & Witty F-16 stands...

I really like Witty's stands -- they work with Dragon aircraft, too, making them quite handy since Witty's come fixed gear down.... put the Witty on the shelf, parked, use the matching stand to put a Dragon of the same type above it, flying...

The Mirage isn't as stable as an F-16 in the stand, but it should stay put -- crank down the screw in the arm of the stand tight... It's better than the stand HM gives ya, IMHO... much more dynamic, and less wobbly, too :-)

Re: Mirage & Witty F-16 stands...

I've also noticed that the Witty Super Hornet Stands work great with Dragon's F/A-18C and F. Same thing, just tighten it up and mount it. Dragon's stand is the same flimsy bit of plastic as their WW2 airplane stands, it kinda works for the Legacy Hornet, but absolutely sucks for anything heavier. Just thought you all should know, especially since Witty's are gear down as Pappy said, and don't really need a stand to be displayed.

Re: Mirage & Witty F-16 stands...

Sorry if this is a silly question, but exactly how does the stand attach to the aircraft?

I haven't tried to stuff one of Dragon's weapon set figures in there... probably would fit, providing you amputate the little guy below the knees The model doesn't include a pilot...

I basically slips into a clip on top of the stand that rotates laterally so you can give make the model bank to the left or right, too...

So it clamps onto the rear of the fuselage?

Thanks PappyB!

It clips onto the engine nozzle...

Look at the pic, second from the bottom on the left... all the stands for the various witty models work via the same principle...
