It's time for Hobby Master to enter the 'heavy metal' zone!!

Well, Hobby Master, since you have produced 1/32nd, 1/48th, and 1/72nd scale WW2 aircraft and 1/48th & 1/72nd scale armor, it is now time to break into the 1/32nd scale armor arena!! Since you think 'beyond the box' and released a Dauntless for your first 1/32nd scale aircraft and a Buffalo for your first 1/48th scale aircraft, both surprises to most people , I think that you should really rock everyone's world and release something just as obscure as a Buffalo......or an IS-2.......drum roll......

an Italian Fiat M13/40 or 41 tank!! A second choice would be either a French S-35 Somua or a British Crusader Mk I or II!!

Looking forward to annoying the 'former' Florida Diecast Forum members!!

I agree! I have often wondered why HM has not gone into 1/32 diecast armour. I'm very impressed by the quality, weight and detail of their 1/56 diecast M1A1 and Tiger 1s. I would love to see these, especially the M1A1 desert version, in 1/32. I think the M26, M10 and the Centurion would look great in 1/32 as well. We need more competition! And I think HM is well placed to give established players like Dragon, FOV, 21st Century Toys and Tamiya a run for their money in the 1/32 (or 1/35) department.

Hi,

We are thinking about this.

One company has done a great range on 1/32 but 1/35 is a more popular scale traditionally speaking?

I never quite understood why the tank and airplane people can't agree on a scale. You get airplanes in 1/48, but Corgi makes a huge group of tanks in 1/50. And the airplane people build 1/32 scale models and the tank people build 'em in 1/35. What's up? Didn't anybody have a conference before they started all this?

Re: It's time for Hobby Master to enter the 'heavy metal' zone!!

There are even couple plastic kits coming out in 1/35th scale to go along with the armor. Have seen both the Grasshopper and the Storch put out in 1/35th scale.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

I definitely would like to see some Italian tanks and also some of the earlier British tanks (Crusader, Valentine and maybe Vickers A10 Cruiser tank.).

You make an excellent point, Sky. Why can’t manufacturers get their ever-lovin’ act together and produce just one scale? Personally, I’d love to see Hobby Master pursue 1/32 tanks to compliment FOV’s collection. FOV tanks are extremely popular, and they corner a wider market share, than, say, Dragon.

Dragon’s 1/35 tanks are popular, too, don’t get me wrong. But if you were to put it to a vote, 1/32 would prevail (me thinks).

It isn't faith that makes good science, Mr. Klaatu, it's curiosity. Sit down, please. There are several thousand questions I'd like to ask you.

Already have a bunch of 1/32nd scale tanks and some 1/50th too. Might be nice if the stuck to 1/32nd for the larger scale though.
