| Re: It's time for Hobby Master to enter the 'heavy metal' zone!! Do it in 1/35. My Minichamps and Dragons are in that scale. I won't touch 1/32. | |||||||||||||

Hi, If HM is going to make the bigger tank, it will be in 1/32 or /35 and we would like to bring out something that has not been made in the scale.

Cheers to you. Mnay of us are working this end to try and expand the diecast base a bit so as to spread the word about the quality and value you, and other manufacturers offer. Not enough people know that diecast tanks and planes exist as consumer products; those of us who are established fans can spread the word via public displays and "talking it up" with friends and associates. Here in my very public cubicle office at work I have your Saratoga Buffalo, DWD Spitfire, Carousel 1's Shields Wildcat and EI's Patty Ann II. Most visitors have no idea models of this quality are available premade and of metal. I educate them; expanding the base.

William, I commend you for your efforts and thank you for listening to us 'hard core' collectors!! A Churchill tank has been made in 1/30th scale by King & Country and it is very good. I think that most of us here have seen our share of Tigers, Shermans, T-34's, Panthers, etc. and would like to see a tank that saw a great deal of service in WW2, but has not been made in a large scale. I mentioned a British Crusader, but a Valentine would be important as well. The Italian Fiat M13/41 saw a great deal of service in North Africa and the French Somua S-35 saw action in the Battle of France. All of these tanks have many variants and Hobby Master could make simple alterations to their molds to produce these. ![]()

At present my armour collection consists of two 1:72 tanks & the 1:16 007 Wittmann Tiger but all my future purchases in this area will be 1:32 so that scale would get my vote for HM to enter, it would also be complimentary to their 1:32 aircraft.

Something to be said for matching scales between aircraft and armor. I have noticed a couple of model companies doing the same. There are a couple of companies putting out a Storch and Grasshopper in 1/35 scale. This months Scale Aviation Modeler International has an article on company called ICM that is planning on putting out a 1/48th scale Henschel HS 126 and also a Sd.Kfz. 222 to accompany it. Matching scales would definitely make for some neat diorama possibilties.
