Re: It's time for Hobby Master to enter the 'heavy metal' zone!!

At most, I'll buy 1:48 armor, but nothing larger. Sorry, but I'm not going to support any 1:32/35 mold development unless it will feature removable turret and full interior detail along with faithful engine reproduction.

Bigger is not better for me, if the size increase is not commensurate with the increase in the level of detail.

Regards,

Sergey

Re: It's time for Hobby Master to enter the 'heavy metal' zone!!

I collect 1/72 armour only because thats what my hobby master budget can fit the most in and theres more product choice out there at a lesser cost to the manufacturer. Another issue is space. I have 1:18 scale figures so I'd be open to an 1:18 M113 or M48A3 but I'd be limited by number. I could buy 5 1/72 scale tanks or just 1 1/32 scale tank. What would be better for your business?

Not into tanks too much but I really like the Lee/Grant. It's a bit of an oddball with its two guns. Like it is from one of those fantasy wargames...

Or a Honey/Stuart tank would be nice too. I have built some Matchbox kits in my younger days and I love it's appearance. Not really a tánk, but it's a pretty machine.
But K&C did a Stuart already.

With these tanks you can produce quite a range of varieties, or choose véry different liveries, as they both served in different theatres and armies.

Can we try with real bullets now?

Re: It's time for Hobby Master to enter the 'heavy metal' zone!!

I would have a hard time buying anything larger than 1/48, both for display space concerns and the price point that would go along with the bigger scale. Don't get me wrong, a 1/35 T-34/76 or T-28 produced to Hobby Master's superior standards would be amazing, but I would rather see more happening in their 1/48 Armor line personally. I would jump at any 1/48 Soviet WWII stuff, or a Churchill Crocodile, or a Firefly, or maybe even a Porsche Tiger...

I am also ready for more 1/48 armor. It matches up well with all the Corgi 1/50 vehicles I already have. th1 1/72 is just too small for me and I have gotten away from 1/32 due to space. You need a new 1\48 mold Hobbymaster! People can only buy so many of the same 3 molds. Give them a break for a year and roll out the new. Later you can bring out more of the older molds.

I too am a 1/48 armor guy as I have to pick one scale and want them to match my planes. I have HM's King Tiger and will get the Sherman soon.

Hi,

If HM is going to make the bigger tank, it will be in 1/32 or 1/35 th

and we would like to bring out something that has not been made in that scale.

How about 4 engine bombers.

ok, William !

A French "Char-B" tank, in 1/35th (please !).... or, ......

A Comet-tank (esp'), Cromwell, or Matilda II (desert, or B.E.F)

failing that..... a Short-Stirling PLEASE (in 1/72nd )

Re: It's time for Hobby Master to enter the 'heavy metal' zone!!

Since I collect 1/48 planes and armor I would not invest any of my diecast money in a larger scale. There is still plenty that HM can do in the 1/48 size. There are some really great camo patterns that are available for the Pz IV with skirts, Hummels, Wespes, Panthers, T-34, /76, /85, ISU-122, 152, IS-2, Stuarts/Honeys, Priests/Sexton, Fireflys. I would purchase at least one of each and probably several of the Pz IV's in the different paint schemes. While the French and Italian tanks are interesting, I believe that only the truly hard-core collectors would ever buy them.
