Re: Hobby Master M10 due date?

I am happy to see that HM has just put up a drawing of a French marked M10 that is due out this summer. I'll be glad to have something to go along with my Dragon French Sherman!

Re: Hobby Master M10 due date?

The pictures you mention are a model that is still a pre-order. The pictures weren't taken by the retailer like he normally does so I would say these are pre-pros so let me know when the retailer displays pictures of the actual model.

PM sent. Pictures taken of a recently purchased M-10 show the track problem was never fixed. Hopefully they will on any future M-10 releases.

Re: Hobby Master M10 due date?

Hi,

I have one M-10 first release on hand and basically there is no track problem on the one I got.

For the spocket size, though I don't measure it into centimetres, I compare this with a real photo.

Sorry, forget about the photos.

Please also found the new Le-Malin photos.

I took the time to measure the ratio of the spocket and the road wheels.

On the photos, it is around 1.33 to 1. On the HM model, it is around 1.4 to 1.

Wait wait... This is the French M10.. It is already out?

I got two American M10 and there is not "track problem" although I think the track should be a 0.1mm wider. The Only other problem I see is that in the turret rear there is a "hole" that should be there. It is necessary because there is a screw. Now the other points simple... great. The turret interior is fantastic. I will buy a few more and also same Achilles when there out.

Re: Hobby Master M10 due date?

Can the gun on the M10 actually elevate or, more importantly, depress? I’d like to put my M10’s 3-inch into a more tank-killing flat trajectory. Right now it looks like it's on a fire support mission. Before I bust mine, I figured I might as well ask if anyone else has succeeded in loosening the mantlet...Or perhaps broken theirs first. I can't tell if it's movable or not.

Anyway, the tracks on mine don't look too bad at all, much better than on the pre-pro pictures. The "teeth" on the drive sprockets still poke out too far, but the track is just wide enough to engage them. I'm really impressed with the level of detail on the inside of the vehicle, not just in the turret, but down into the hull as well. If you twist off the turret you can see there's even driver/radio-op seats in the front!

Yep the mantlet and barrel can be pushed down, I would suggest pushing the mantlet and not the barrel

Re: Hobby Master M10 due date?

Oh, that's excellent. After my initial attempts I felt it best to confirm before I snapped it off. The Hobby Master Collector site only mentions "turret turns" on the M10 pages and not "main gun elevates" like it says for other models, so I figured perhaps it was frozen in place.

Update: Yup, a little gentle coaxing of the mantlet and my M10's now ready to engage some armor close in. Thanks for the reply, now I'm completely satisfied with this model. (Though it wouldn’t hurt HM to add a little bit more weathering. Nothing heavy handed, but some subtle dry-brushing, on the boggies for example, would really make the details pop.)
