I hope to have a Chieftain to go with the Centurion in the future!

In relation to the M10:

-As already pointed out, I do hope that they can correct the tracks on the front sprocket.
-Another question is the 3'' barrel. It looks to thin and to short. With this the gap between the Barrel and the mantlet seems to big.

Here are photos of the real thing
World War II Tanks - USA's M10 3" Gun Motor Carriage

Maybe it is just the way the photo of the model as taken. What does everyone else think?

Another request is that the prices of these models do not reach the €25 mark (in Europe) as the latest M26 have....

Forgot to say: If the price is nice I will buy a couple....

Re: HM new releases 1.72

I know everyone’s always telling you the same thing, but I just wanted to again acknowledge what you do around here. (As I’m sure Hobby Master values it as well.) It can’t be easy sifting through all the complaints and gripes and grievances, even the occasional praise. I post criticism (hopefully constructive) because I’m passionate about the hobby, so it’s phenomenal to know our inquires and suggestions are examined seriously, and I appreciate your role in that process. Hobby Master is building a heck of reputation for being much more open to input from it’s customers than others in the biz. So…Thanks again for helping our words fall on refreshingly attentive ears.

Oh stop, your making me blush. Thanks for the words of encouragement.

Re: HM new releases 1.72

The Centurian looks the business! I had my dad's old Dinky Centurian when I was a kid, played with it for hours I think they did a Chieftain too but I never had that one.

If you check out ebay, planecrazy, you can find great Chieftains at about £15-£20 in great condition. I got one about a year ago ( it cost £12.00 ) and it is a brilliant little model ( about 1.43 scale ) and it has a spring-loaded gun which originally fired plastic shells, but you can use wooden matchsticks today ! You can elevate and depress the gun by turning the hatch cover. The tracks are just silver plastic, but they work well. I love it. It's a great toy which could not be sold to kids today because of Health and Safety issues !!!!

Dinky made hundreds of thousands of them, so they are quite common. This is the one which hammered the nails into the coffin of the old Dinky Centurion!!!

My interpretation in incorrect them. Sorry.

As mentioned, it looks to be the right length, but I agree it does look a little thin in those pics. The 3-Inch M7 was a pretty chunky gun, and should probably fill out the hole in the mantlet more.

That M.10 looks FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!! (I don't collect die-cast armour, but that's just SO Tempting !!!!!!!!)
......... An 'Achilles' (or M.36 Jackson) to follow ?

Once they take care of a couple issues, they’ll no doubt be sitting on one of the best diecast models of 2008.

If you check out the Hobby Master Collector “Temporary Sample Picture Page” there’s a drawing there of an Achilles! That’s great news! I hope once we buy all the M-10 and Achilles schemes they’ll eventually tool a new turret (as well as new intake grills and exhaust deflector) and release some M-36s. German armor better be on the look-out!

Just did that, stacks on there including one on the back of and old AEC transporter! It would be nice to see HM eventually produce the Chieftain, it'll happen eventually I'm sure.
