KV-1, anyone?

Quick question: Anybody buy one of these little honeys? And if so, how's it look up close and personal?

Re: KV-1, anyone?

I didn't know it was released yet, thought it was still in pre-order status. I will definitely be getting one.

Yep, it's out there, wmosner. I know somewhere you can get it right now. The KV-2, too. And the Cromwells. PM me for the URL.

Oops!!! My mistake. Sorry 'bout dat, guys. I didn't see where the vendor said "PRE-ORDER." Whata dolt! That's what you get when you don't read the fine print -- only in this case it was in LARGE PRINT. Gotta get my visor fixed!

Re: KV-1, anyone?

I just got one today, and in my humble opinion HM has set a new standard for 1/72 armor. Highly recommended.

Re: KV-1, anyone?

Just in case you're unaware Gort (not sure if you missed this during your recent Melmac excursion) but Hawk's got a review of this model on his site... www.hobbymastercollector.com

Myself, I haven't seen one yet but the pics sure look good (but I don't collect armor anymore... really I don't. I DO NOT I TELL YOU! No. No more... )

Pappy ... look into my eyes ... relax ... RELAX ...

Now, repeat after me... “I will get back into armor collecting. I love to collect armor. Armor is my reason for being ... I will, I will, I WILL buy more armor models.”

Very good. On the count of three, you will awake and get the hots for every armor diecast model you see.

THREE!!!!

Re: KV-1, anyone?

My deal said that they expect a Hobby Master shipment very soon which should contain both the KV-1 and Cromwell. My guess is the centaur and KV-2 will be in next month. These look to be a very promising start for Hobby Master, which leads me to wonder what may be next in their 1/72 armour line. My hope is something that we have not seen or something that has not been announced by anyone. A Hellcat, Panzer II, Hetzer, or Comet would be neat.

We will at least see another Cromwell and KV-1 (in camo) at some point as the pre-production pictures are now available. Hobby Master seems very promising.
