Re: KV-1, anyone?

Pappy ... look into my eyes ... relax ... RELAX ...

Now, repeat after me... “I will get back into armor collecting. I love to collect armor. Armor is my reason for being ... I will, I will, I WILL buy more armor models.”

Very good. On the count of three, you will awake and get the hots for every armor diecast model you see.

THREE!!!!

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii mmmmmmmmmmmmmust bbbbbbbbbbbbbbuy aaaaaaaaaaaaarmour, Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii mmmmmmmmmmust bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbuy aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarmour, ooh its those eyes its those eyes burning into me.

Re: KV-1, anyone?

Got a closer look at the HM KV1, which confirms my initial response. Very nice model. Also, the packaging is like Dragon's with 2 exceptions. The first is that the plastic cover is held securely by 2 clear, elastic bands. Also, the name of the tank is on the black plastic base - nice addition. CDC tanks had the name on the base, but more prominently. Hobby Master will be a major player in the 1/72 market.

Re: KV-1, anyone?

Received the Cromwell and KV-1 today and am quite impressed. I have quite a collection of Dragon 1/72 (http://www.wwiivehicles.com/dragon/default.asp) and these are my 1st non-Dragon items.

I too am quite impressed with them! The look and heft of them is very refreshing compared to the more recent Dragon additions. I must say that I'll probably start collecting them as well!

Here's a couple pictures I have taken of them (I'll be posting more to my site, but this is all I had time for).

Re: KV-1, anyone?

I got both the Cromwell and the KV-1 yesterday. They are awsome! The only complaint that I have is that I have to wait until July for the Centaur and KV-2 to arrive.

Re: KV-1, anyone?

There’s a new kid on the block, and its name is Hobby Master. No kiddin’, I got my Cromwell Mk.IV last Friday, and all I can say is, “WOW!”

Right from the get-go, HM has pretty much rivaled Dragon Armor for detail and subtle weathering effects, which is an extreme accomplishment in itself. In fact, if I didn’t know differently, I’d say this little beauty was a Dragon model. It’s that good.

Dragon Armor is, of course, King of the Hill; but if this keeps up, the big Lizard’s gonna have to share its perch with Hobby Master. The heat’s on.

Kudos to HM!

Yes, I have both the Cromwell and the KV-1 to date and really like them both. Can't wait for the others also. The detail is as good as dragons and cheaper. I am impressed!

Re: KV-1, anyone?

Just got mine today as well as the 1:48 HG0107 King Tiger. Posted pictures just to show the difference in scale. The KV-1 feels like it has a lot of metal in it, did not take it out of the plastic box but it does feel heavier than Dragons. I believe the detail on both to be fantastic. I don't know the history of the KV-1 but the Tiger II did lead a famous break out of civilians and troops from the Halbe pocket at the beginning of the end of Berlin.

Re: KV-1, anyone?

Finally got mine today after taking 11 days for the post office to finally get it to me. I am quite impressed with the Hobby Master offerings and think they are easily as good as Dragon Armor. This is their first step in the 1/72 diecast market and they got it right the first time around.
