Pics: Herpa Su-27s

I'm sensing a new addiction here -- as Black6 says, they're easier to "sneak in", plus they are just amazingly detailed for the scale. The prices are a bit nuts, but I've scored some great deals on the 'bay...

Challenging little buggers to photograph though! Will have to break out the tripod I think...

I really like modern fighters, but really don't have the room to display them in 1:72 or larger, as my WWII prop stuff is my "first addiction" and gets priority seating. These might be the solution...

Re: Pics: Herpa Su-27s

Me like it. But the choice of paint schemes (Angola Air Force, for real?) is uninspiring so far.

Hay Pappy, how big (or small) are these size-wise?

Regards,

Sergey

Re: Pics: Herpa Su-27s

Where can I find these 1/200 Herpa Su-27s? They're cool and will solve my space dilemma which has become totally and utterly unmanageable ...

I've got a growing collection as well.

The Gulliver F-14s are great as you can move the wings.

Herpa has also been releasing hangars, ground equip and operations personnel.

I think we will see some 1:200 tarmac soon.

Here they are at 1:200, 1:100, 1:72 and 1:48 scales

Funny, I think the Angola AF is the coolest so far -- I've five Su-27s so far, three Herpas and two WACs... I like the Herps better. The WACs are well made but look kinda "stretched" to me... as in a bit too long of body. They are 1:200 scale, so about three - four inches in length.

Some interesting upcoming schemes (more mainstream -- Russian liveries) have been announced but I haven't seen any pre-pros yet.

These models are trully amaizing and the details are incredible.
I'm using them to build an airshow diorama...
Herpa' s latest release is the F-104 (Luftwaffe & US Air Force markings)
The Panavia Tornado is next (Luftwaffe Tiger Meet scheme).
You guys should check out the other WAC (World Aircraft Collection) models...
Enjoy...
