Re: International aviation day - 1:200 airshow diorama

Good looking diorama you have put together. All that it looks like it needs are some consession stands.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: International aviation day - 1:200 airshow diorama

Hi aradrom, very nice diorama. Do u remember me??? I still waiting the WW F16 Scorpion from u...
I got one questions that where u get the step-ladder car and passenger model for 1:200 civilian model???
Thanks

Hi,
It's good to see you being part of this forum...
I think that you are refering to the A321-200 Air Canada which is made by Gemini200.
The L-1049 TWA Constellation & step ladder truck are made by Herpa.

Just an update on the diorama.
The buildings are painted and the hangar details have been added.
It still needs some work and then the tower...
If anyone can offer advice on the tower please, help me out. It is difficult to build from scratch...
Enjoy these photos for now.

Great looking work you have done on this. Have you scratch built most of the buildings?

The hangar & admin side buildings, the vehicle maintenace building (long one) and the tower are scratched built.
The two small warehouses on the right side are N scale kitsmade by Pikestuff. Their original color was blue, but I did not like them that way so I painted them.

Not many folks do scratch built work anymore. Your results look great, have you looked into any Faller or Kibri products? Pretty sure they have a N scale line of products, but I really like both these companies HO buildings.

I looked for Faller & Kibri products in the past. Very hard to find.
Last time I saw one set on Ebay was from Germany and the seller did not want to ship overseas...
It was a good experience to get the buildings scratch built, but the control tower poses some new challenges...
