Nice scale, nice models, great diorama.
Thanks for the updates!

(However, I might point out that my 1/400 models actually do leak oil!)

Cool Re: International aviation day - 1:200 airshow diorama

Thanks -- how strange, most of the WAC birds are the same schemes as the Herpa/Gulliver 200s.... new to this scale, so I guess I'm easily confused. Oh wait, its the Gulliver WAC so Gulliver 200 and Gulliver WAC are the same thing. Herpa is just a completely different maker of 1:200... er, right.

Regardless, I've yet to find anyone stateside that carries the phantoms...

Yes, Gulliver is the new commercial name for WAC. Herpa/Hogan are different moulds.

Re: International aviation day - 1:200 airshow diorama

And the gorgeous Antonov 24 is gone too...

Yes it's gone...
At first I wanted to do this as an European airshow but I changed my mind to make it as North American.
That decision was mostly due to the numerous Japan AF models I've got and they never flew to airshows in Europe but did in North America....
So the C-130 Ramstein Herc & AN-24 along with other models have left the country....
I hope someday a B-52,KC-10,KC-135,C-5 Galaxy & C-17 along with an AWACS will arrive for the show...but that could be a long wait...
The T-43A will arrive soon...as Inflight200 is releasing it now...

Greetings,
Here are a few photo's from my latest details adding.
As you see there's control tower and layout change...it was too boring I needed an elevated building to add more variety...
Access road with grass details + trees (some) have been put on.
On the far edge you see the new access runway to the ramp. On that area there are the show performers parked on...The F-14 (low vis) is still scheduled to land
I'm expecting 60 vehicles to arrive + a few other show static displays including the one and only Norht American flying Super Connstellation in TWA markings. This plane is present at almost every airshow and must be present for this one as well...
There's still lot of work to be done to this diorama...the tower is not finished and also the hangar /tower/utility building need to be painted... but for now enjoy these photo's.
Stay tuned...

PS: Can anybody guess what AFB's/airport I used as inspirational source ?
Hint: Both AFB's/airports are located in the South/ SE of US.
Answer: When the diorama is finished (July/Aug./08)

A few items completed:
1. Addition of trees & access road completion.
2. Vehicles parking lots and ramp traffic markings.
Scheduled for landing: F/A18-Super Hornet Swordsmen & SU-27UB Russian AF
The diorama is coming to life more and more each day.
Catering trucks and busses are on their way as well.
Enjoy a few new shots...
