Herpa Fighter Jets

Does anyone have information on the new 1:200 scale Herpa fighter jets.

I think there were 3 being released this fall.

Is there a US website that would sell these?

I also am looking for a suitable (reliable) online retailer that stocks these or intends to.

I'm seriously considering stopping collecting 1/72 scale jets altogether in favour of this 1/200 range which I believe is/will be superb . They don't take up nearly as much space, which for me is now at a premium as I've collected way too much die-cast the past year .

I am anxiously waiting for Herpa, but there is also another manufacturer in the 1/200 business which goes by the name of World Aircraft Collection. They actually share the Witty mould, but reduced to 1/200. But WAC in 1/72 is actually Gaincorp (are you guys following this?)

Anyway, so far WAC 1/200 has released a bunch of Japanse F-4s (!!!), F-15s, Su-27s (Chinese, Ukranian and Russian) plus some obscure Japanese fighters. They also look great and I did post a comparison picture (with a 1/72 Gaincorp I think) on the old modelhangar.

Re: Herpa Fighter Jets

Herpa will follow up this 1/200 line-up with the F/A-18F Diamondbacks 50th anniversary and a British Eurofighter Typhoon, plus, ground vehicles, hangar, ground staff...wow!

I see that they've just got the 1/200 Herpa F-22 Raptor in stock - it truly appears to be an exceptionally ugly looking model (not at all like Skunky's Cocker Spaniel version ).

Re: Herpa Fighter Jets

Here are some pictures of the Hangar and ground personnel/equipment.

There's 3 that I'll get along with the accesories.

Seems like Herpa has a game plan.
