M113 makers

Hey, I've been hunting for a Vietnam era M113 in 1:18 scale. I know 21st century toys makes them but I can't find any on ebay and I'm growing impatient after weeks of searching. Does any other company make an M113, even if its slightly off my wanted scale? (like 1:20 or 1:16) Even if its R/C or a model kit or lower quality. So far I've found nobody. Thanks for any help.

Hi forcerecon85, I have come across a 1:18 scale R/C M113A2 by Classic Armour Diecasts on Mike's Tanks website. It's been retired by the manufacturer already but is still available at Foxhole Toys (have just checked their website). It's available in desert and woodland camo at $79.95. I hope this is what you are looking for.

Re: M113 makers

As far as Vietnam era goes, there's nothing on the market. With the 21CT model, you'd have to remove the engine cover/wading plate's hump, rear fender storage bins. It's very doable to turn it into a decent Vietnam era M113 but will take a little work filling in left-over peg holes and such. I've got the non-RC green livery and the molded color is too dark for a Vietnam M113.

Good luck!
