Just Arrived Today...My M2A2 Bradley!!!

Just returned to my office today after a work trip. Lo and behold, came a surprise...the postman delivered the Tamiya M2A2 Bradley that I ordered a little over a week back from a Japanese on-line retailer. Cost me a bomb considering it was priced in yen. Anyway, spent some time admiring it before I got back to work

1:35 scale huh......I'm going to have to check these M2A2's out ...
I have been thinking for a while of starting a small tank collection now that there is a little slow up on the Corgi aircraft front.

These are from the Tamiya 1:35 Masterworks Collection. You can see pics of the full range from the Tamiya USA site.
The Florida-based retailer rocousa.com carries quite a comprehensive range which includes some nice German WW2 tanks. Some of the models also come in 1:48 scale. Just a note of caution. The models come in all-plastic construction and weighs pretty light, but I like them because they are very nicely done up.

I got the Bradley from the Fukuoka-based retailer zootoyz.net in Japan since they are the only on-line hobby supplier that still carry the Bradley. Alternatively, you can also check out the Hong Kong-based retailer etamiya.com. But for US collectors, I would say that rocosua may be a better bet.

How much was it in U.S. dollars? I know the Tamiya Masterworks models are pretty pricey!

Don't do what BDE tells you to do. Do what BDE would want you to do.

Spot on Cavtanker! Tamiya Masterworks models are expensive for pre-built plastic models.

Let's see...I paid 9,800 yen for the Bradley, which comes to about US$94. Shipping and handling charges from Japan to Singapore added another 2,200 yen (about US$21) to the bill, so the total cost was about US$115.00.

I have to admit that the price is pretty steep compared to say, Minichamps and Dragon (1/35), but I liked the Bradley (and the Abrams) so much it was just impossible to resist the temptation!

That's a really nice looking model Paladin! I love Tamiya Masterworks, it's just hard finding them online.....otherwise I'd end up breaking the bank for them! Thanks for posting the pictures!
