| Del Prado T-34/76 & Type 97 Chi-Ha Howdy all, Received a request to post pics of the Del Prado 1/60 scale T-34/76. Since I am at it, I have put in a few pics of the Type 97 Chi-Ha Japanese tank as well. The T-34 is a real beauty. The T-34's camouflage paint scheme is very nicely done. I just like the Red Army insignia on the turret. Overall, it is more refined that the M1A1 Abrams from the same manufacturer. The Type 97 isn't too bad either. Paladin18 | ||||||||||||||

Honestly, I was quite pleasantly surprised by the quality of Del Prado's Chi-Ha. While it may be a tin can on the battlefield, Del Prado does a good job out of it. I'm hoping that some manufacturer will do it in 1/72 scale.

Paladin, I have 3 of DelPrado's tanks: the T-34/85, the aforementioned Type 97 CHI-HA, and the Italian M-13/41. These are definitely made of resin/crushed stone (similiar to K & C, New Model Army, William Britains, etc) and are quite nice.

| Re: Del Prado T-34/76 & Type 97 Chi-Ha You're lucky to be able to get hold of M13/41. Tedongganas and I are aggressively hunting for it. I recall you telling me in another thread that besides the Chi-Ha, you also have the K&C Amtrac and Panzer I. Very cool. Great choice you have made. The K&C Chi-Ha must be a beauty eh? Unless I'm wrong, it's been retired and very difficult to fins now. Any chance we can see some pics of it? Even though the Chi-Ha is not exactly what I would call an excellent tank by any measure, I have always been fascinated by it. It was one of the first few tanks I was acquainted with when I was a kid, after seeing museum photos of the Chi-Ha sweeping into Singapore from the Malaya Peninsular during the early days of WW2. Yeah, you and 91ken are right. I took a close look at my Del Prado M1A1. It is definitely not diecast metal. My apologies for the oversight (must be my age and eyesight!) Paladin18 | ||||||||||||||
