Re: Targa 1/48 Scale Tiger I

Another forumite who validates my theory that armor has better detail, quality and accuracy, in general, than aircraft!! Hey, I'm just playin' here!!

I do agree, I have been researching armour models. At any price range/scale they offer better value for money than aircraft,

Re: Targa 1/48 Scale Tiger I

By the way guys, I forgot to mention that although the Targa 1/48 Tiger I is meant to be a simple snap-together kit, I realised that some of the parts that form the tank chassis were a little too tight, but nothing that a precision file and fine-grade sand paper can't rectify. But I had to be careful not to spoil the paintwork in the process.

Targa has also produced a cross-sectional model of a U-boat in 1/144 scale. Saw it on their website (targa-japan.com) some time ago.

Targa 1.48 Tiger in sections

Hi Guys,

have any of you come across this Targa Dragon? I came across an ad for it on the Tank Zone site and wondered what it was like.

Looks like a fun product!

Interesting variation on the popular 1/48 theme. 7 separate parts that are put together to create a complete 1/48 scale German Tiger 1 with full internal details including a full crew. Requires assembly. No glue necessary. Available as three complete sets of all 7 parts in 3 different paint scheme.

Re: Targa 1.48 Tiger in sections

Hi MoMo,

I've posted some pics of my German grey 1:48 scale Targa sectional tank on the forum, along with two cents (or pennies) worth of feedback, sometime in March this year. Think you can find it in the Ground Vehicles Models section. (can't seem to be able to link that thread to my reply, sorry about that.)

Re: Targa 1/48 Scale Tiger I

Thanks paladin. I checked this out. I'm surprised that I missed it. I'm intrigued by the detail of this effort. Some of the pressed detail looks a bit crude ( engine exhaust fans ) but the vehicle has possibilities and would look a lot better with some repainting and weathering.
