Am afraid I can't be of much assistance. I'm still building up my static armour diecast collection. Currently don't have the means to go into RC tanks yet. Maybe an e-mail to Heng Long might be the best way out?

Well, I'm basically doing the same thing you are. Not quite ready to take the plunge into RC, but the VSTank Pro's and Trumpeters look tempting.
VSTankPro supposedly have a Japanese Type 90 available, as per their website, but I don't actually see it for sale anywhere. That's the one I'd like to have.
Although I like the Trumpeter's larger 1/16 scale, I notice they kept the national markings off their tanks - no maltese cross for the German tanks or red stars for the Russian ones, but at least their being consistant in keeping both national symbols off.
