| Re: Help needed to identify brand of tanks I'd think it would be almost impossible to determine the scale by only looking at a picture unless the brand can be found out. But that too could be a problem because they could be plastic built kits, diecast prebuilt or repainted diecast prebuilts. Good luck! | |||||||||||||

| Re: Help needed to identify brand of tanks If you click on the picture and focus on the King Tiger which appears on the bottom, the arrows lead you to various pictures from a brochure. One of these calls these tanks "Chars de Combat", which makes them 1:72 scale Altaya product released in France. It's a little surprising because I haven't seen some of these on any of the Altaya armor lists that have been published. As far as quality is concerned the only one of these that I own is the French Somua S-35, albeit in a different livery, and it's hardly overwhelming as to detail. The tracks, in particular slip off rather easily and the camouflage colors are off. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Help needed to identify brand of tanks
For some reason, when you click on the picture it also shows the 1:72 Altaya King Tiger picture which I uploaded to this site for another thread. I don't why the King Tiger picture shows up. The ALTAYA King Tiger is not part of the group of tanks that I'm trying to identify.
I went through the "Mike Tanks" site, and did not find any matches.

The mystery deepens. Can you provide any other information about where you found these pictures, for example?

| Re: Help needed to identify brand of tanks OK, I finally figured it out, (after a lot of dead-end searches on the net.) These tanks are from a company called "World Tanks Depot" They are 1:87 scale, diecast, preassembled, and decaled. It seems that they have produced 50 different models of tanks, and will produce more. Of the 50 models which make up the 1-87 WORLD TANKS COLLECTION, 5 are from World War I, 28 are from World War II, and the last 17 from the end World War II up to day. More details are available at their website: http://1-87worldtanksdepot.com/index.php The site doesn't seem to say how people can buy the tanks. I did a search on ebay and found some for sale (VERY EXPENSIVE) http://search-desc.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&catref=C6&rpr=69&from=R10&satitle=world%2Btanks%2Bdepot&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&fts=2&floc=1&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sabfmts=1&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=32&fsoo=2 | |||||||||||||
