1.72 jeeps with crews

I noticed this lot while combing Ebay. Someone marrying Hongwell jeeps and someone's figures:

Re: 1.72 jeeps with crews

Dear Bsmith and Rubberduck.

the jeeps themselves are diecast Hongwell/Schuco/Cararama types. They sell for $5-$7 each. The painted figures are about $7-$9 for the pair.

If there are 17 sets as it says on the listing, work it out for yourself!

I just thought that the pics were interesting and it might give members some ideas.

Wow Momo, I don't know where you're shopping but $7-$9 is expensive, even in the UK. I know several people in the UK that buy them for just 1 GBP per jeep and in the US I often see them for $3-$4 on Ebay. I bought several of mine for $2 each off Ebay last year.

I know the painter selling those jeeps. He sells alot of painted figures too.

Re: 1.72 jeeps with crews

Yes, LegioLXXll,

I have bought the jeeps for £1.00, but generally you find them for about £2-£3 pounds in specialist shops. I've also seen them on sale at about £4.50 at the shop beside Gold Beach in Normandy.

i don't think that the jeep/figures combos are a bargain at that price for 17, but they ain't too expensive for someone with no time, no modelling ambitions and who wishes to share them with friends to enhance their display.
