Bit late in the day to add to this thread but those are much later Kittyhawk III's. The one modeled by GMP and Corgi is a Kittyhawk I. AK578 (The GMP GA-V) would have been long gone by this time. On the 112 sq web site there is a color profile depicting the plane as modeled with the red/yellow teeth.

This site also lists this particular model as a P-40D which means that it should only have 4 guns not 6. I can't find a color on this one but I have found a grainy B/W pic that does seem to show the lower half of the mouth being a yellowie type color for one unidentified plane.

There has been a lot of discussion about whether or not the GMP shark's mouth is correct. I am not convinced it isn't; but I concede it might be. Regardless, it is a beautiful model and well worth having. I like it more than Old Exterminator.

Just snagged this one for $50 at our favorite GMP bargain site. Also got Old Exterminator of $60

And there I was thinking I wouldn't be increasing my collection for 08.

I also have this model and it is a super piece of diecast. Even if the shark mouth is wrong this little beauty makes a nice display in my collection. Its an eye-catcher and my favorite P 40 from GMP
