Question Who got it right, Corgi or GMP

Recently I acquired my second GMP model, the P51 Missouri Armada. Although I think it's one of my finest models (top of the list is the P40 Longhorn)
I was wondering if Corgi made a better choice in choosing the bright silver colour which makes it 'shinier'. I'm referring to Corgi's P51 'Elder'.
Shouldn't the underside of the body(GMP's P51) be as bright silver as the 'droptanks' ? So why did GMP choose a dull (matt) silver finish?
