Re: GMP RAF Kittyhawk

I'm so spooked at getting a P-40 from them...The last P-40 i got from them had the missing wires for the wings..

Which P-40 was it? I think one of the liveries was produced w/out wires (which isn't really a bad thing). Some people don't like the wires b/c they look huge or are kinda loose looking.

It was John Landers P-40.

Unfortunately, you had the odd bad experience. I have purchased about 10 P-40's from GoMotorBids and none have been missing the historical wires from the tail to the wings and fuselage.

That would be my luck....I was on a roll getting perfect planes online for the longest time and that one snapped it...
I have bought P-51 Mustangs from them in the past and where all great no problems..

Having almost fully stocked my Austin and Reno hangers, I am grabbing some more for gifts and investments. My guess is that if you are willing and able to hold on to these birds for about two years or more, the demand will be significant. After all, GMP's P-40E's and P-51D's are the best production die cast birds out there.

I haven't sold any of mine yet but have been contemplating putting 'Glamorous Glennis' on Ebay. I also did give a Duchess Arlene (and the Corgi Lee Archer figure) to my father-in-law......he collects K&C but loves the GMP Mustang and, afterall, he did take me and the wife to Europe twice all expenses paid (least I could do!).

I'll hang onto the rest of my GMPs for awhile though.
