Re: GMP going for nothing on the Bay??

You mean the mast? That ought to be easy to replace really?? Maybe a peice of wire or something. I'll have to take a look at it.

That is a great deal Parsig i paid over 85.00 for mine.
It's a great looking plane you will love it.
The only thing that this model does not have is the radio mast.
I contacted GMP about this when i got mine and they said it was a error at
the factory.
It seems what happened was this was going to be the first P-51D without the radio cables showing..
The later P-51D's did not have the radio cables like the early ones did.
So by mistake the factory left the radio antena off.
If you look at the other P-51D they made you will see the radio lines showing up... also the the picture of "Missouri Armada" that GMP used was a pre-pro the antena is on that one.

Oh well, me neither. I thought the hole was probably there. I guess I'll just leave it alone.
Man, if only the hole was there. Bummer.

Oh, and I'd love to see some pics of Missouri Armada if anybody would care to post some. The more the better!

Re: GMP going for nothing on the Bay??

Yeah the GMP seem to go quick (a) my local shops... Really glad I got a Scott P-40 while the price was reasonable. I am soooo tempted by the "Longhorn" also though, "do I need 2 big 40's.

No, you need at least four big P40’s ………….any thing less is unpatriotic

I pay around £90 for a P40 in the UK, and still think they are great value. The P40 is a stunning model, and I think it is one of the best die casts I have seen.

The Blue Nose Cripes and Petie are my favourite GMP Mustangs. You have to love the Mustang……. The best plane of the war……. But I love the P47 Razor back more.

Welcome DC - to have a large scale collector of your stature join us is truly an honour for this forum (for those who don't know DC, make sure you keep your 1/32 Spits, now GMPs also, well and truly hidden in his presence)

Welcome, David Cotton...your name somehow sounds familiar. Would I have seen your name somewhere previously?
