Awww, my apologies! But really it sounds tougher than it is. The real trick is holding the model stable while drilling the strut. This is kinda tricky due to the radio wires running from tail to wing tips, but still not to bad.
I really do encourage any collector/builder to learn this method as it helps greatly in repairing delicate, broken parts such as prop blades and gear struts. Prop and gear repairs are a must w/ my 72nd collection. The occasional drop, while dusting or for me a kitten w/ a "Godzilla giong to the airport" fixation do cause me occasional grief.

I agree, but my wife doesn't seem to agree that I need more practice.

Cha-Ching! BooYah! There ya go, you have to appreciate the comedic potential in some of the nonsense we all get worked up over.

And further to address any offronted parties... I clearly said strut not____ ... Bada-Bing! GMP's gonna get me for this...

Re: GMP aircraft

Uh oh, I failed to catch the way a typo would have changed that one !

I am just lucky I passed by before Skunky, Planenuts or one of the other stand ups in our midst as there would have been nothing left to comment upon. Since there are only about 100 of us we probably won't offend much more than 17% of the membership which is well below the threshhold for an uprising.

As an individual who obviously displays a staid and mature sense of humor and applies it correctly in this socio-political think tank I appreciate your assumption of responsibility.

Now, to stay on topic, the only GMP I have is the Duchess Arlene and I love the aircraft. My only quibble is with the diorama of which the figures have simply had their skin darkened and been renamed the Tuskegee diorama. I am still trying to get ahold of a Scott P-40 for a decent price.

Re: GMP aircraft

Yes, the diarama conponents they sell are not to impressive to me. I really think they take away/distract from the models themselves. Much the same as the figures in Corgi subjects.
Figures are the one aspect that none of the mfg's have done well at all!

If my self-control continues at its current pace I'll have another one within the week but I am trying to hold off. I just went on another bender an placed two orders with TFM. I told Martin if he added GMPs I would be a goner and fortunately he hasn't done so yet. I'm thinking the Preddy is next for me.
