Carousel 1 is in the same predicament.. They made all these WWI (and some WWII) planes which are just gathering dust on retailer shelves, and with competeing manufacturers like Hobby Master which makes similar product for 1/2 the price, there is no incentive to make new stuff which really hurt those of us that collect that scale..

Exactly -- gomotorbids is killing GMP, I mean I feel like a sucker for buying the Longhorn at almost full retail... to have it appear there for 1/3 the price only a few months later. Do you think GMP sold off its excess stock to gomotor directly, or are these models coming from somewhere else? I mean I love a good deal, but not at the longterm expense of the hobby. However, I doubt I'll be buying any more GMPs at full retail without waiting a while to see what happens. I don't want to be the ONLY person that pays $140

I'd grab an F4U in an instant! I hear you too Harry. I agree with you in terms of the problem but it's a viscous circle isn't it? We're always looking for bargains. Having said that, I've shelled out plenty on models I really want. While price is an issue so is exclusivity. I know many will say that this will push prices up but what if you carefully chose your schemes and then did half the runs (500 instead of 1000) maintaining production levels but with more limited schemes.
