Angry Help on GMP P-40!

Arrrrrrrrgh! After 2.5 weeks of waiting for this diecast to arrive, I am shocked at what awaited me when I
opened it up for inspection. I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later, and my string of good luck had finally ran
out! Is this a common problem with you owners of the GMP P-40?

Now, my dilemma is wether to return this defective merchandise back, or just bite the bullet and try to deal
with it. Any suggestions??? Thank you.

Re: Help on GMP P-40!

Well that's too bad that happened tou you flyXwire.
I have not see that happen before.
Super glue it back in place
It seems like it just fallen off the tail area nothing broken.
Your rudder should still work ok if you use just a little glue in the hole areas.
Either that or just return it.
Did you win this on a Auction site ?
If so i send it back for a better one if they have more..

I had the antenna wire seperate just like yours (though my rudder was still attached. There was clearly too much tension on it, so that may be a manufacturing defect. I superglued it in place as far back along the longitudinal wire as I could get it and its not noticeable. If the rudder is broken and not simply dislocated, I would definitely send it back.

I am with Hoverbug. Send it back. I never had that problem yet, but that is what I would do.

Re: Help on GMP P-40!

Bummer. I hate it when you anticipate your latest acquisition and this is what you find.

My P-40 arrivied in perfect condition and I haven't had a problem with it. Too bad fly. I might attempt a repair, but if the rudder can only be repaired by fixing it stationary (or the wires couldn't be restrung decently), I would send it back.

Send it back. If you try fixing it and end up messing it up, then the seller might say that you caused it.

Thumbs down Re: Help on GMP P-40!

Totally agree with the guys saying send it back. Fortunately that wouldn't cost you an arm and a leg like it would cost me. Not all bad fly! Good luck.

Re: Help on GMP P-40!

Just super-glue it!
Why go through all that hassle when all you have to do is put a small drop of SG on each of those little tabs and re-insert the rudder.
