While I respect the views of all, except those that I disagree with, It's beyond my comprehension how anyone can love props and feel nothing for the turbines. I love military aircraft in general, and don't really feel more or less for either group. It's the same with model scales and manufactures. I say: "Why discriminate?"

Can't we all just get along?

Can't the tail draggers and the tail burners join hands in the celebration of all things military - you know, peace, love and the instruments of destruction?

Now whadidya do with my shootin' iron, Pa? Gotta go get me a few of them there old-fashioned tail draggers!

but I would definitely choose the mounts of aces that
were featured in the History Channels "Dogfights Over Mig Alley" - Robbie Risner, Ralph Parr, "Boots" Blesse et cetera!

Ditto!

Re: Would you buy an F-86 if GMP made it?

Thanks to FVD for bringing this to mind in another thread. Here's an obscure livery that I'd love to see:

or:

Except it would be called the Fury, rather than the Sabre.

I doubt that we'll ever see a real Fury, but rather a Sabre wearing a Fury paint scheme. There just enough differences between the FJ-2, the Sabres closest cousin, and the Sabre that it would require different tooling. I don't think anyone will produce any of the FJs anytime soon.

Re: Would you buy an F-86 if GMP made it?

Despite what the 'numbers' tell me on this poll, I'm still left with a slightly optimistic hope that sometime in the future a NA F-86 Sabre will
be considered by any diecast manufacturer to produce one. Anyhow, I've enclosed a photo of what I had in mind for what GMP could probably
produce along the same line of reasoning when they released their P-51 and P-40 line which included some terrific diorama accessories. Perhaps
if they priced the F-86 at $150 a pop, then they should consider throwing in the whole 'kit-n-kaboodle' for that price?

Until such time, I'll continue to just dream on!
