I noticed that one of the BBDs flying is actually a Commonwealth CA-18 Mk22. Is the any real difference between CA-18 Mk22

Say, doesn't the cowl of the BBD that the admin posted look rather flat? Rather like a 1:72 Corgi P 51, would'nt you say, Skunkie?

Re: G3502007 NA P-51D-20 Mustang "Big Beautiful Doll"

Is it just my eye, or does BBD's cowl panels fit more tightly / with less gaps that previous GMP Mustang releases?

Think it's a model-by-model thing -- I know mine had a few noticeable gaps...

All four of the GMP's (2 P-51's and 2 P-40's) that I have are great. The panels on all of them are tight and look good. I might've just gotten lucky!

Mine all seem to have a gap where the top panel meets the fuselage right before the cockpit windscreen...

see my BBD here:

And my Marie, here:

(this one has perhaps the worst fit -- can't say it bugs me that much though)

Re: G3502007 NA P-51D-20 Mustang "Big Beautiful Doll"

Are the props on BBD and Marie metal?

I really should snap up BBD before it is gone. I had every intention to when it appeared last spring, but other things got in the way!

who knows, maybe BBD will end up in the bins... hopefully not at that low prod run... I got mine with the european diorama delivered a couple months back for $150, which I thought more than fair really.

The props are plastic, unfortunately!
