GMP does such a nice job detailing these things...I just wish the landing gear didn't look so anorexic..

Yeah, that's the weak link.. but what diecast model is perfect

I just got notice that mine is on it's why from Mark. I can't wait.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Looks good, but I'll have to pass on this one given that I have the Corgi 1/32 version and would prefer Duchess Arlene or the Texas Longhorn P40. I have the GMP Cripes A Mighty III which is great but still feel the detailing on the EI Mustangs is better .

As 'showroom' models these are however spectacular pieces of die-cast and are a good match for 1/35 scale MiniChamps armour.

Is BBD the same level of detailing/features as prior models or is this one more detailed than earlier versions?

As far as I know, they are all the same with the exception of very small things like differing antennas.
I just ordered this one and "Marie" today. I'll have a better perspective when they arrive.

Talking

Yeah, that's the weak link.. but what diecast model is perfect

Hi Pappy, Well I have just been drooling over the three P40s and they look just perfect to me.

1/35 is an odd scale and would be yet another range to collect (I have the superb 1/48 P40 and Dora). When I first looked at these I thought ,no Jim $145s is just way too much and think of the postage. (no dealers in the UK).

But I keep getting drawn back to the GMP site and having another look at them. All three look so sweet and I cannot pick a favourite. Maybe the Texas one but then / no maybe the ... and so it goes on.

Whats a P40 sort of guy to do? BTW I have the Stud on order.
Maybe I could talk Lorraine into getting one for my birthday? Thats not until August (yup I am a Leo,natural born leader).

Question is can I wait for so long and if not where can I raise the money? How about a whip round the hanger with my collecting hat??? No that would not work theres too many doing that already!!

I already have about $300 of outstanding orders at the moment so patience and fortitude is much required.

At the moment we are mining a rich seam in the diecast releases, just so many coming onto the market all the time whats a chap to do.

I need therapy , problem is Lorraine charges $150 per hour.

God Bless America.

I certainly asked for that one didn't I.

Drat I must be more carefull. Trouble is Lorraine thinks it sounds like a good idea!!! I must stop her looking over my shoulder when I am viewing the Hanger!

More local news just in , A man fell down an open drain today while giving a lecture on health and safety. the fire brigade and ambulance attended. The man was later reported to have broken his ankle. Honestly guys you just can't make this stuff up.

God Bless America.

Re: G3502007 NA P-51D-20 Mustang "Big Beautiful Doll"

I just did a little bit of studying and BBD had the mast, but no wire. SO GMP is correct. There is a great photo of it parked on a hardstand in the Squadron In Action for the P-51.
