Would you buy a GMP F4U Corsair

I would like to see GMP build a F4U-1 Corsair in 1:35 to go along with their P-51 and P-40's aircraft they have made so far.
So here it goes.
Would you like to see GMP build a F4U Corsair?
What paint schemes would you like to see and why?
I like to see a VMF-214 Blacksheep of Pappy Boyington.

Re: Would you buy a GMP F4U Corsair

I would like to see a Boyington, and a Marine's Dream Corsair. I would also like to see a all sea blue one as well.

Ira Kepford's VF-17 bird would be a good start. Fear the Bones.

Pappy's mount would be okay too.

Re: Would you buy a GMP F4U Corsair

I'd definately like to see a VF-17 Big Hog as their first Corsair release. It is a more accurate livery than a Boyington Lucybelle, since Blackburn flew that one in combat. A GMP Corsair would soundly trounce 21st Century's plastic job, and it would probably sell rather well. The Corsair airframe offers lots of liveries with minimal retooling costs, and it would strike a chord with both addicts and casual collectors. I'd also like to see a 1/35 Hellcat, but I'd definately say the Corsair would sell better. Kinda like comparing Spits to Hurricanes, which is what these two were like in the US Fleet.

Count me in! I'd like to see a VF-17 bird or even a VF-84.

Re: Would you buy a GMP F4U Corsair

I've recently acquired the GMP Cripes A Mighty 3rd P51D and all I can say is that this is without a doubt the finest die-cast Mustang I've ever seen .

If GMP bring out a F4U Corsair in tri-tone blue 'camo' (Jolly Rogers?) I would definitely want to get one - these models are definitely in a class of their own as are Minichamps armour ...

[I'm currently building a 'Mack-It' (kit) die-cast F4U - same casting as CDC/FM Armour.]

One sheep to rule them all ...

Re: Would you buy a GMP F4U Corsair

I currently don't own any GMP models due to their price. However if I had the money, or the price was closer to the Eagles International offerings, I would certainly add it to my ever expanding aerodrome.

Now if Eagles offered up a Corsair I would be right there to buy one!
