Now you got me all confused with this set when i first got this set it was to my thinking they made only 30 of these...
I later found out that GMP made 1,000 of the Petie 3rd Mustangs.
I bought 1 set from Danbury and found a seller on Ebay that sold me 3 GMP Petie 3rd Mustangs with out the Dioramas...
I could of mistaken that Danbury made only 30 of these a year ago when i bought it then Dumb me.....But on the other you can still
get a Petie 3rd without a diorama....If GMP made all 1,000 of these for Danbury then they must of got rid of them after they couldn't sell them for 210.00 and some buyer took the planes and left the diorama behind...Who knows what happened to the Dioramas of the other Petie 3rd Mustangs.

Sorry JP, it was the 30 number that got me confused and ... going on the investigation

I think DM just had an exclusive on the model when it first came out, and they bundled it with the eurpean diorama... as you said, you can now buy the plane by itself from other vendors.

I just wonder what is supposed to make the DM version different or special is all, and I don't think there is anything different about it, or extra limited about it... ? Least not far as I can tell from the pics... but I didn't own it.

My main goal was just to point out that the verbage for the ad on the DM site wasn't claiming a prod run of 30 sets.... sorry for making a mountain out of a mole hill!
