Re: Any Gamers Here?

Computer gaming started first, then the ol' diecast addiction set in.

Big fan of COD 2. Member of a clan, *KYR*. Started with Medal of Honour, (the original), moved to Spearhead, then COD United Offensive, tried the Battlefield series, just didn't turn my crank though. Now I've got some expensive coasters.

May have to give the Company of Heroes a try.

What do you guys think are the best FPS other than CoD and MoH, I have all these I'm looking for something new but only FPS.

If you're not talking WWII-only then Half-life and half-life 2 are the best FPS games out there

I also enjoyed Quake IV and Prey, more recently, too. Far Cry is another goodie.

And the Battlefield series of online FPS games is very good.

(Yes, I play too many computer games... but it's part of my day job, believe it or not ;-))

Re: Any Gamers Here?

Non-WWII.....Far Cry is my all time favorite. I got it when it first came out and I still don't get tired of playimg it! And though it's not a FPS, FPS fans will also love it, Oblivion is truly addictive!

WWII....Call of Duty 2 just always makes me say WOW!

Re: Any Gamers Here?

Well I started out gaming, then diecast followed. About 5 years ago I started playing flight sims which spurred my interest in planes. Been hooked on planes ever since......

My gaming experience goes way back to the days of the Commodore 64. Currently I play Battleground Europe--aka world war II online (online game with inf, tanks and planes!!!), Enemy Territory, and IL 2.

If anyone is interested in trying out battleground europe, pm me. I know you will love it!! (early part of the war--britian and france vs german)

We didn't receive pong until 1978/1979. My dad was always late to embrace technology BTW: I was 5 years old ....kinda dating myself now

When I got Pong I thought I was really going high tech......I was 22 when I got it (and was married and had two kids ). You're just a young whipper-snapper

Re: Any Gamers Here?

Well I started out gaming, then diecast followed.

This seems to be a common trait among some of us. The game that started it all for me was Panzer General. Then there was Steel Panthers, Aces Over Europe/Pacific, 1942 Gold, Close Combat, and the next thing I know I walk into a shop selling CDC Armour & Solido/Verem tanks. I didn't have a chance. Do you have any idea what buying diecast on a high school budget was like??!! Needless to say the collection was very lean back then.
