Hobby Stores in Barcelona

I'm going to a meeting in Barcelona and was wondering if anyone knew of a good hobby store

Some time ago I ventured into a 'posh' store near the bottom of the famous Las Ramblas boulevard- it was well stocked with Spanish masterpieces such as swords, knights with armour etc. (pretty expensive though).

Be aware that for many of the stores 'negotiation' is expected and they are all ultra competitive with one another - walk around and don't take the 'first best' offer you come across ... . I ended up with a knight in a suit of armour approx. 45cm tall and my wife with a large Spanish doll (not bought at the 'posh' store) that we lugged all the way for the rest of our journey - with backpacks! .

One sheep to rule them all ...

I went to L'AEROTECA when I was in Barcelona--They are terrific. Lots of stock and lots of books. The staff is nice and helpful. Thanks for the referral.

Walking in the direction from the harbour to Placa Catalunya (with Café Zürich on the corner) you turn left immediately at the end of the Ramblas, do not cross the street towards the café. Short left right after a Pan's store and MacDo's. Follow that street for about 50 meters and you will find a store full of cars, trains, Scalectrix. No plane except for some r/c stuff.

Btw, for nice apartments in Barcelona, vissit Apartments in Barcelona. Lodging apartments in Barcelona . I have been to Barcelona twice and both times I stayed in one of their appartments, Rambla C and Picasso. Really great appartments, had a lot of fun their!!

Can we try with real bullets now?

Talking Re: Hobby Stores in Barcelona

Just been!

Try " Palau " shops at:

C. Pelai, 34
C. Balmes, 4
C. Santes, 43
Rda. Sant Antoni, 61
Trav. de Gracia, 84

( lots of great German 00/H0 railways/Scalextrik/diecast cars, etc )

I went to the one at the top of the Ramblas, near Cataluya Square. Bought 3 planes and a tank ( all ex-C'Agostni ) for about 4 Euros a piece. Saw some 200 or 400 scale planes n' stuff too. i'll write an account of my adventures on the " nice Things.... " thread when I've recovered........just got back an hour ago!!!!!!!!!!
